Our Veterans Day luncheon at Fendall Heights (Family Housing Property) was a heartfelt celebration honoring the brave men and women in our community who have served our country, as well as the families who have stood beside them. The gathering brought together several of our veteran residents, creating a space filled with warmth, gratitude, and genuine connection.
As guests settled in, the room quickly came alive with laughter and meaningful conversation. Over a delicious shared meal, we took time not only to honor their service but to listen — truly listen — as many of our veterans shared personal stories from their time in the military. These reflections were both inspiring and humbling, reminding us of the extraordinary strength, sacrifice, and resilience that define those who serve. Their experiences continue to shape our community in powerful ways, offering lessons of courage, perseverance, and hope.
This event was more than a luncheon, it was a moment of togetherness that underscored the importance of belonging and community
support. Today, Fendall Heights is home to 23 residents, including one widow of a veteran, with two additional residents moving in this week. Each individual brings a rich history and a meaningful contribution to the fabric of our community.
We are grateful to our veterans and their families for allowing us to honor their stories, celebrate their service, and share in a day that reaffirmed the deep bonds that make Fendall Heights feel like home.
