We have exciting news to share about one of our clinic employees, Cathy Hampton! Cathy, a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at SOME’s Primary Care Clinic since July 2016, has been honored with the 2023 NP State Award for Excellence from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Out of over 355,000 NPs in the US, Cathy was one of the 51 recipients recognized for her exceptional clinical practice and efforts to elevate the profile of NPs at the state level. We are incredibly proud of Cathy’s achievement and want to celebrate it both internally and externally.
Cathy is a highly valued member of our FQHC team at SOME and also serves as a dedicated NP at The Catholic University of America’s student health center. Her empathetic nature and commitment to her patients have earned her respect and admiration from clients and colleagues alike.
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) has announced the recipients of the prestigious 2023 AANP State Award for Excellence, recognizing outstanding NPs and advocates who contribute to improving patients’ access to high-quality care. The AANP National Conference in June honored one NP and one advocate from each state, district, or territory.
As the largest professional membership organization for NPs in the US, AANP represents the interests of over 355,000 licensed NPs, providing legislative leadership and promoting excellence in practice, education, and research.
