We are thrilled to spotlight our friends at Accenture, whose incredible team of volunteers made a powerful impact at SOME on October 14. Over 30 Accenture volunteers joined us with enthusiasm, dedicating their time to learning about SOME’s mission and values and supporting our work in direct, meaningful ways. In a single day, they assembled 500 meal kits to provide nourishment and care for members of our community facing food insecurity.
The Accenture team showed up with inspiring energy and worked with impressive efficiency, completing their goal in just over two hours—an hour ahead of schedule! Their dedication not only met a critical need for those we serve but also highlighted the strength of community partnerships. Meal kits like these make a difference in the daily lives of our clients, providing essential nutrition and a reminder that they are not alone.
News of the project traveled quickly within Accenture, sparking interest among other teams who wanted to get involved. The very next day, we received a message from another group of Accenture employees eager to organize a volunteer day in November! We’re excited to welcome them soon and to keep building this partnership.
Accenture’s involvement embodies the spirit of private-public partnerships that make our work at SOME possible. We’re grateful for their support and commitment to helping us uplift our community. These meal kits are just one example of how impactful volunteerism can be, and we look forward to more opportunities to work together with Accenture to create meaningful change.
Stay tuned for more updates as we look forward to our November service project with this incredible team.
