This August at Jeremiah House, our staff and residents came together with a shared mission: to clean up our community. Rachel Nicholas, the Executive Vice President of Housing Services, spearheaded this initiative, seeing it as a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to improve our local environment.
Safety and cleanliness go hand in hand. A tidy neighborhood is not just about appearances—it makes places safer and more welcoming for everyone. When residents, many of whom have faced homelessness, take part in such initiatives, it gives them a sense of belonging and purpose in their community.
Homelessness is a pressing issue that SOME is dedicated to addressing. It’s not only about providing shelter but also creating a sense of community and safety. Our clean-up effort is just one of many ways we aim to make a positive impact. We’re grateful to our staff and residents, through teamwork, we’re making our community a better place for all.
This is a part of our “Reclaiming Our Community” initiative. The Reclaiming Our Community campaign is dedicated to revitalizing, unifying, and restoring pride and positivity within our community through exciting collaborative events, programs, and initiatives.
