Rachel Nicholas

Rachel Nicholas has worked with homeless and vulnerable families for over 20 years, in both a direct service and managerial capacity. She has extensive experience with family strengthening, parenting skills, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and homelessness. She joined SOME in 2008. As EVP of Housing & Behavioral Health Services, Rachel is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of all housing and behavioral health programs at SOME, including services for families, single adults, and seniors. Prior to this role, she served as a Chief Housing Officer, where she oversaw all aspects of SOME’s portfolio of over 1,500 units of affordable housing. Earlier in her career at SOME, Rachel served as the Program Manager and Director of Family Services. She serves on the Resident Services Committee at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lafayette College and has finished all coursework towards a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health.
