Substance Use Disorder Treatment Graduation 2023

This past April, SOME celebrated a remarkable achievement of 18 graduates from its Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program. The event was a huge success, thanks to a large turnout from staff, graduates, and their loved ones.

SOME’s substance use disorder treatment options are personalized to the unique needs of each client, using an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach. We offer multiple specialized treatment options including relapse prevention, trauma informed care, mental health education, life skills training as well as individual and group counseling.

Graduate Mr. Gladden was amazed by the amount of support shown at the event, saying, “There were so many people I could not believe the support. The whole event was amazing!” Ms. Watts, another graduate, also expressed her gratitude, stating, “It is a memory I will never forget.”

The program director, John Huntley, was pleased with the success of the graduation, saying, “It was a very successful graduation. The client participation was outstanding, and the appreciation for completing the program seemed to be genuine.”

The case manager, Wanda Terrell, summed up the event succinctly, exclaiming, “It was awesome!”

President and CEO of SOME, Ralph Boyd, was present to support the graduates and spoke to the group, saying, “Thank you for coming to support SUD services. You are now part of the SOME community forever, and we will not leave you. Do not leave us. Courage, resilience, and perseverance pop into my mind when I think of this extraordinary group.”

The graduation ceremony was a testament to the power of community support and the determination of the graduates to overcome their addiction. Congratulations to the 18 graduates who completed the program, and best wishes for a bright and sober future.
