Substance Use Disorder Treatment Alumni Picnic 2026

This September, SOME celebrated another year of welcoming alumni back to our West Virginia campus for a day of community and connection!

Alumni, current clients, families, and staff came together to enjoy a cookout and spend time with the people who have been part of their journeys. The annual Alumni Picnic is more than a reunion. It is an opportunity to celebrate lasting relationships, recognize the strength of the SOME community, and remind one another that the connections built through recovery and support can continue long after a program ends!

“At Miracle Mountain, the Annual Alumni Picnic is a special time to come together, reconnect, and make new memories. We’re grateful to our dedicated staff and Alumni who make it possible year after year.”

– Nora Armstrong, Clinical Director, Behavioral Health Services

We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s gathering another memorable day at Miracle Mountain.

The staff and clients that go through the program are what makes SOME such a special place. Every client and staff journey, and story, is complex, and something that can help the next person that comes through the program.
“It means so much to see our alumni come back, reconnect with one another, and spend time with those who are currently in our substance use disorder program. Their presence is a powerful reminder of what is possible, and their willingness to share their experiences, encouragement, and support helps strengthen the community that makes recovery possible.”
