SOME Serving Ramadan Meals for Neighbors Fasting

During Ramadan, So Others Might Eat is providing daily halal meals for neighbors observing the fast. These meals allow individuals to break their fast with dignity and nourishment after sunset while ensuring members of our community have access to nutritious food during this meaningful time.

Neighbors are also welcome to stop by SOME’s front desk during operating hours to pick up a meal to take with them and enjoy later when they break their fast. By making meals available throughout the day, SOME helps ensure individuals can observe Ramadan while still having reliable access to healthy food.

These efforts are part of Fill SOME Bowls, our March initiative during National Nutrition Month, which raises awareness and support for SOME’s programs that provide hot meals, groceries, and long-term solutions to hunger and poverty across Washington, D.C.
