General Powell was the epitome of a servant leader and an unrelenting champion for individual growth and helping save and transform the lives of vulnerable people, families, and communities.
Through their long-standing support of SOME, Gen. Powell and his wife, Alma, have ensured that countless people experiencing homelessness and poverty in the District received the crucial services and compassionate care they need to survive, sustain, and ultimately thrive. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his own remarkable life.
