SOME is offering a six-week Digital Navigators course to residents in our single adult housing programs, focusing on foundational computer skills with opportunities for more advanced instruction for those who are further along. Originally developed and taught by tech education nonprofit Byte Back, the course has been revived by former instructors who now work with Jubilee Jobs.
This program is more than just a class. It is a vital tool that empowers residents to build digital literacy, a critical skill for today’s job market and everyday life. For individuals who have experienced housing instability or extended unemployment, becoming comfortable with technology can open doors to employment, connection, and independence.
The Digital Navigators course reflects SOME’s commitment to Whole Person Care by keeping residents active, engaged, and continuously learning. It strengthens our housing model by promoting community, confidence, and personal development. At SOME, housing is not just a place to live but a foundation for building a brighter future.
