Liz Donahue Volunteer Completes New Mural for Family Housing

Last week, SOME celebrated a significant milestone with the ribbon cutting ceremony for a beautiful new mural. This vibrant project was spearheaded by one of our dedicated volunteers, Christian Penn, whose passion for art and community service has brought a fresh wave of creativity to our organization.

The mural, a testament to the collaborative spirit and artistic talent within our community, stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration. It not only beautifies the space but also serves as a reminder of the positive impact that art can have on the lives of those we serve.

Christian Penn, the driving force behind this project, has expressed a strong desire to continue this artistic journey. He aims to collaborate with the youth at our various Family Services (FS) sites, fostering creativity and community engagement through the creation of additional murals. We are thrilled to support Christian in his mission and look forward to seeing the transformative power of art in action.

Our next mural project is already on the horizon and is set to take place at Independence Place. We are immensely grateful to Christian Penn and all the volunteers who made this project possible. Their dedication and hard work have not only resulted in a stunning piece of art but have also strengthened the bonds within our community.

Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming mural project at Independence Place. Thank you to everyone who supports SOME and our mission. Together, we are making a difference, one brushstroke at a time.
