SOME is thrilled to share an exciting new chapter in our flourishing partnership with the Bedford Falls Foundation. SOME’s Center for Employment Training (SOME CET) has been selected as one of the Foundation’s pilot partners to expand nurse training opportunities for DC residents with low incomes. This milestone marks an ambitious next step for SOME CET, one that brings together educators, healthcare professionals, and workforce experts to create a pathway into one of the region’s most in-demand and life-changing careers.Through this new initiative, SOME will provide holistic, career-based support for students entering an accredited nurse training program designed to empower those farthest from opportunity. Participants will receive comprehensive wraparound services and individualized mentorship from their first day of training through sustained employment in the field. The inaugural cohort of 15 students has already begun their journey this fall as the first class of the Bedford Falls Pathfinder Program, charting a new course toward stability, purpose, and economic mobility.
