Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Family Services!

SOME Family Services offers a variety of volunteer opportunities based on your interests, abilities, and schedule. Volunteer opportunities include tutoring children and adults, facilitating workshops, gardening and landscaping, or assisting with SOME’s afterschool programs, childcare or special events. How do I become a volunteer?
  1. Complete the online Volunteer Application.

  2. Sign up for a new volunteer orientation.
    Orientation sessions are held each month. Please visit vhub to learn about upcoming orientation dates, and to confirm your place in this initial training. An orientation includes: the history of SOME, current volunteer opportunities, and an introduction to the volunteer roles within Family Services. A background check will be conducted once you have completed your orientation.
  3. Begin volunteering!
    The Family Services Volunteer Coordinator will make every attempt to match your interests and availability with current voluteer needs.
