Help the Homeless Walkathon

Please join SOME President Fr. John Adams and friends of SOME at Fannie Mae's 2010 Help the Homeless Walkathon on Saturday, November 20th on the National Mall. Your support of SOME through this important annual event will help us to continue to provide homeless families and single adults with affordable housing.

Mini-Walks
The Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program invites schools, community-based organizations, and faith-based organizations in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia to host Mini-Walks as part of the annual Help the Homeless Walkathon.

Whether it is a walk held with a high school, university, summer camp, nursing home, or Boys and Girls club, Mini-Walks are a great way to increase the awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness while raising funds for organizations like SOME. Mini-Walks may take place beginning now through November 7, 2010. Each walk lasts a minimum of 30 minutes and will have two components: a short presentation on homelessness conducted by a SOME representative, and at least 15 minutes of physical activity.
