SOME's 40th Anniversary Inaugural Concert

On July 1, in commemoration of SOME's four decades of service to the homeless and poor, the Georgetown Chorale, directed by Elaine J. Rendler-McQueeney, D.M.A., and members of the San Jose Symphonic Choir, the Monterey Symphony Chorus and local singers gave a stunning performance of Henry Mollicone’s Beatitude Mass (for the Homeless), under the guest direction of the composer. The 40th Anniversary Concert Chorale also performed a medley from Les Miserables conducted by Dr. Rendler-McQueeney.

Featured soloists Christopher Walker of Los Angeles and Kathryn Hearden of Virginia sung the roles of Adam and Evelyn in a composition inspired by interviews with homeless women and men.

SOME is grateful to the talented performers and generous sponsors and supporters who made this special anniversary event possible.
