It’s a Party: Pope Francis Comes to DC

The Embassy Row Hotel aims to join in the celebration of Pope Francis’ visit to DC by hosting an event on The Rooftop poolside on Tuesday, September 22, 4:00-9:00 pm. Eat like the Pope by indulging in some of his favorite foods, including an assortment of cheeses, breads, meats, empanadas, and a spreadable dulce de leche. All proceeds benefit SOME. Station Kitchen & Cocktails Special of the Day

Station Kitchen & Cocktails in Dupont Circle creates a special of the day. Every time you order the special of the day, 25 cents is donated to SOME. You’ll notice the special of the day is always served in a special bowl. The bowl was commissioned and created by students at the Corcoran School of Art.

Enjoy a Guided Tour of DC to Benefit SOME

Sunday, November 1, 2015, Walk of the Town is offering a guided tour entitled “Monumental sTOURies” to benefit SOME. Led by licensed DC tour guide Tim Stewart, the tour will feature stops at the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Constitution Gardens, Signer’s Island and more.

Reservations are not required. The tour itself is free, but donations are welcome – 100% of donations will go to SOME. The tour begins on 15th Street, NW, just steps from the northwest corner of the Commerce Department at the intersection of 15th Street (300 block) and Pennsylvania Avenue.
